Our Program
Student Impact is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students who otherwise could not afford to attend college. The Student Impact Program provides Service Based Scholarships to support Undergraduate and Graduate Students. The amount that is awarded to students varies but ranges from $5,000 - $25,000 a year.
In exchange for the financial aid support, students engage in an intensive and meaningful commitment of service, totaling 170 hours a semester, with our community partners.
In addition to their service, Impact Students engage in trainings on leadership and professional skill development. Our students are uniquely transformed through the personal and professional growth that comes through service.
What is an Impact Scholar?
Student Impact Scholarships are offered to select students who are committed to community service and demonstrate high financial need determined by the FASFA.
- Impact Scholars commit to completing 12 hours of service a week (170 hours per semester) during the academic semester. These hours are primarily made up of direct service at our community partners. While the remaining weekly hours are inclusive of trainings and reflective projects.
- Impact Scholars commit to leadership activities, training sessions, enrichment workshops, and seminars that address social issues and teach tangible skills.
- Impact Scholars must maintain a 3.0 GPA while in the Impact Scholarship Program.
How do I Qualify?
Requirements to apply for a Impact Scholarship:
- Exceptional record of leadership, community service and/or social justice work.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Financial need based upon the students FAFSA
- Students range from entering College Freshman to students with two years remaining in their program (Undergraduate, Graduate, Law school or Medical school are all eligible)
